Guys on Golf at Westwood Plateau
On the luckiest day of the year, 7/7/07, the Guys were at Westwood Plateau in Coquitlam for 18 holes in the blazing hot sun.
Westwood is an excellent course, and their service and staff are renowned for their professionalism and five-star treatment of guests. We shot our first video while there, check it out below:
Full Review
Warning: The following review might seem a bit generous, but rest assured; Westwood lives up to these ratings on every visit. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but they give you the royal treatment in exchange for your investment.
(All scores are ranked from 1 to 5 “beers,” and averaged from the feedback of all four players)
Course Conditions:

(Immaculate)
Value for cost:

(Hard one to rate. Pricey, but lives up to the expectations)
Beer Rules/Cart Staff:

(”Top notch. TOP NOTCH!” -Judge Smails)
Drinking Water on Course:

(Free bottles on ice with cart. No lie)
Pace of Play:

(Tricky course, so can be slow at times. We were the slow ones this time though)
Difficulty Rating:

(Even Wes gave it a 5, for all of the sidehill lies)
Staff and Service:

(An absolute pleasure at every exchange)

Damn I miss working there.
Great Website… I’m not a relative of Wes’s, but I did witness one of (If not his only) hole in one!
Sites good, as are the reviews, the golf community out here can really benefit from a site like this, but the message needs to stay untainted so that Free Green Fees don’t equal favourable reviews… Keep it real!
Thanks very much for the feedback, Mun. He has two, apparently..and only now with your witnessing it do i have proof of one of them. I have seen neither.
We’ve tried to strike a balance between being honest and fair about free green fees and reviews, etc.
Our full review of Westwood and Morgan Creek are still to come, and we will be fair as always. Yes, we are often invited to play for free, and yes, that has an effect on our reviews (free golf is more fun, after all) but if we find something the we think needs fixing, you WILL hear about it.
Once we’re even more established, we can afford to be even more constructive with our critiques when we are guests of a course.
Thanks again for reading and commenting!
